Dancers interested in auditioning for the Bravo Dance Center Competition Team must be currently enrolled students for the current season.  Any dancer ages 7 and up are eligible for audition (must be enrolled in a Competitive Jazz or Ballet/Jazz combo, Contemporary, Ballet Intensive and the strong suggestion of Progression Jazz).  Team members are also required to be currently enrolled in a Ballet Intensive or Progression Jazz class, with a strong suggestion of both.

Auditions are at the end of summer camp in July.  Dancers find out results via email within 48 hours.

All dancers must arrive at least 5 minutes early to check in and receive their audition number.  Dancers are required to wear a leotard, tights, with hair in a slick bun.  All dancers will be called into the studio to learn a fun, quick, challenging combination.  We will then have the dancers come back into the studio in small groups to perform the combination.  Some dancers may be called in several times to perform.  At the end of the audition, a brief interview with each dancer is conducted.  Remember, this is an audition!  Look your best and work your hardest!

All dancers are judged on performance first!  In addition, dancers are judged on hard work, quickness in learning, maturity, and skill.  Most of all, have FUN!  Your performance is contagious and something so vital on a competitive dance team.

In addition to regular weekly classes, team members train for an additional 3-5 extra hours during peak competition season.  Rehearsals range anywhere from November through March.  Upon acceptance, a detailed rehearsal schedule is given out before dancers are required to sign on for the year.  Attendance in both weekly classes and rehearsals are mandatory during the season.  An excused absence must be an emergency and discussed beforehand with Ms. Lindsay and Ms. Lauren

Every competition has entry fees associated with it.  For example, one group dance can range from $50-60 a dance.  Solos/Duos/Trios are more.  There is a rehearsal fee that must be paid in full before the season begins.  Other competition fees include the warm up suit, costuming, and photo shoot.  We are happy to outline a more detailed financial commitment if interested.
