Katie Haldeman

Katie Haldeman is a teaching artist from the Philadelphia suburbs, who has worked with dancers of all ages and levels. She has set award winning work which has allowed her students to perform both regionally, and nationally. She has also taken her professional work on tour, showing work up and down the east coast, as well as in Minneapolis and California. She is always striving to make sure her students have a space to hone in on technique, dive into artistry, and cultivate their own unique voice inside dance. Her passion lies in tap dance, but she also will never turn down a great jazz hand!  Katie’s teaching philosophy is this, “My classroom is a place where artistry, technique, and passion intersect. In this day, it doesn’t do for a dancer just to have the technique, they need to understand the artform, they need to find their passion, they need to be able to cultivate their own voice inside of the movement, no matter the genre. It is my job, and honor, to create a space where a dancer can do just that: cultivate their voice inside the technique.”
